I have been discussing about Meditatin quite often but you may have in mind what meditation is? It is not easy to explain meditation one can understand it only by practicing it but here I am mentioning a brief introduction of the same.

In Latin root of the word meditation, mederi, means "to heal." It is an effort to heal confused state of the mind, which can be caused due to psychological hurt.
In the East, however, meditation does not mean thinking at all but fixing the mind in a spiritual ideal, to be one with it, or the thought-process dissolving in the consciousness of it. According to Zen, meditation does not involve any concept but is an awareness of inner self. As per Hindu yoga meditation is a combination of three steps: pratyahara means bringing the mind away from world wide activities, thought processes; dharana or concentration; and dhyana making yourself fully lost in your inner self.

Awareness of an inner peace commonly known as Paramananda is not something easy to achieve. It can be confused with a state of dullness or being soporific, which is not the purpose of meditation. To meditate mean does not mean to have a good rest while sitting pretty, and silence is not productive without spiritual aspiration. On the other hand, few have the capacity to think clearly, and too much of mental exercise could lead to tension and confusion.
In Bhakti Yoga, meditation is visualization of the image of a chosen god or the Flame, together with mental repetition of a Mantra Ommmmmmm.

There can be many different ways of meditation and are adopted by many religions Like Hindus and Budhist but If one goes step by step it will be easier to reach to that state of mind. Moving forward I will explain each step.

But one thing you have to understand is there is nothing in this world if you are not meditating slowly you will reach to the state of perishing your body for which you are collecting all luxuries.
No worldly emotions will be able to help you in saving your existence. If one is clear on this fact practicing meditation will be easier.
